I have quite a few wired and wireless cameras set up in my home, but have used quite a few more (which weren’t good enough to set up). This is my first Arenti camera, and I’m not all that impressed. The good:- The look of the camera is modern and stylish. Much better looking than those white dome cameras.- This camera does pan and tilt, and it’s very quiet when it does.- This camera includes a 32gb Sandisk SD card and you have an option for paid cloud storage.- The software is easy to use (see cons).- Video quality is acceptable (see cons).- Audio capture is ok.- This can be used with Alexa or Google assistant, but I never use my cameras with those services (privacy reasons), so I have not tried it.- This is powered via micro-USB (usually a con since it’s not USB-C) but that means it can be easily installed or even powered with a longer cord if needed without any proprietary adapters or cables.- The night vision works and is not bad.- The camera has a wide-angle lens, but not the most wide-angle I’ve seen in an indoor camera.- The included mounting hardware allows you to mount this camera on a wall or ceiling.- You are able to set it to alert you only when a human is detected. This feature does work pretty well. The bad:- The software is functional but lacks in many key areas.-The “2k” resolution seems fake (i.e. interpolated) as it brings out no more detail than the standard HD quality.- There is no option for pre-recording, which is crucial in many camera setups.- While you do get notifications from this camera when it’s alerted or movement or sound, you don’t get a thumbnail with the notification so you are forced to open the app to check. This is a terrible way of doing it and quite a few other cameras will show thumbnails.- While it has an ONVIF setting (which needs to be enabled manually), I was not able to get it working on two different NVR / camera software, so I gave up on it.Overall, if this camera was advertised as a 1080p camera at a lower price then it would offer good value, especially as a pan/tilt device. But it’s not 2K and doesn’t have enough camera/security-related features vs the competition.

Really pleased with this security cam that I will be using in conjunction with my home alarm system. Mainly in the sitting room.I will be returning to work after a year at home due to Covid. So it Perfect for not only keeping an eye on my pooch when I’m away, but also being able to speak to him on the 2 way system as he does get a bit unsettled when I’m away from the house for long periods of time. It will also be great for being my eyes and ears when I’m away from home for intruders. The cam is compact (10cm high and has a diameter of 7cm) and can be mounted or rested on a flat surface. It stores activity for up to 90 days internally, or by cloud but if you require longer you will need to take out a subscription.video clips taken are up to 2 minutes long which is way better than my doorbell cam.The cam also has the ability to move up and down and round and it can work with not only my Alexa but is also compatible with google. Can’t confirm what other devices it’s compatible with! The cam also comes with an 32GB card and a charging USB cable and USB lead with mains plug supplied with screws for mounting should you chose. The app used in conjunction with the cam is called Arenti which is downloadable (on android and my iPhone) and pretty easy and straightforward to use.Price wise I have no complaints and from an operational point of view I’m over the moon.I hope you found this review helpful

I purchased this camera to replace an indoor camera from a defunct company. The quality of the image surpasses the camera it replaced. The app works really well and provides control over the entire camera. Additionally, this camera came with a 32 GB SanDisk memory card; not a cheap no name memory brand – Quite impressive. I liked the quality of this camera so much, I purchased three more.

For a general indoor pan and tilt WiFi camera this Arenti model is great value. For a fully rotatable (via the Arenti App) it’s very compact measuring just 10cm high and has a diameter of 7cm.The camera comes supplied with a built in 32GB card and is powered by a micro USB to USB lead with mains plug supplied. Also included is a mounting plate (with screws) which fits onto a surface and the camera then twist fits onto this plate. The base of the camera itself, without the plate, is stable thanks to four small non-slip rubber feet.Appearance wise the camera is smart looking and unobtrusive, with the round camera mounted inside a brushed silver coloured ‘halo’ surround, which further adds to the quality appearance. It’s fully rotatable via the App, panning (rotating on its base) and tilting up and down within the halo. The App is called Arenti and I found it quick and easy to download, connect to WiFi then install the camera. The controls on the App, in addition to pan/tilt, are zoom, motion and noise detection alerts (can be turned off if desired), IR night vision ON/OFF, screen flip (for ceiling mounting).Photo and video capture can be stored internally, or by cloud, and the camera is compatible with Amazon Echo devices. Picture quality is HD, with a decent wide angle lens view to suit small and medium sized rooms.A good camera with all the essential features and stylish appearance too.

    Good image quality

The image quality of this is really good being 2k it’s so much better than my old 1080 version, this one even comes with a 32gb sd card so really great value for money, connecting to the app and wifi was straight forward and now I can check on my dogs from work, I’m really happy with it, all in all, top marks and highly recommended.

Over the years I have review many wifi cams and this one is one of the easiest I have used in both setting up and monitor settings. Of course, that may be par for the course at this point. In the past these cam had so many little settings you had to set or turn off or adjust it drove you crazy. And getting them connected was not always easy. This one walks you through set up using voice instructions and QR codes and it is a pretty painless process. The app is pretty intuitive but there are always a few things you need to figure out. The image is nice and clear and the audio works fine. I also got it to easily work with Google Home. Overall, a worthy choice for your home monitoring needs.

I already have a couple of Arenti cameras, and they have been pretty well stellar. This one is the same. This model is a style improvement. Like the others, it is quite sensitive and the picture quality is great. The app does a great job of notifying me on iPhone and Apple Watch. The night vision looks good, also.

I think on balance this is a worthwhile camera at a reasonable price point. If you want to pay for a year of cloud service, it’s reasonable providing you have two or more of this brand cameras on the account to provide lots of coverage. You can add more cameras without having to pay more when you use the cloud although I don’t know the limit on numbers of cameras. What I don’t like is they only keep the video for 3 days whereas that’s a pretty short time period, I believe. Otherwise, good, mainly because I had no problem connecting to my wifi. There’s a time lag for everything, recording movement and panning the camera. I guess that’s standard in the industry so I’m not thinking to dock stars on account of that. The picture is very good, in my opinion, and that counts for a lot.

First thing to say – this is not a wireless (power) or outdoor camera. You need to have access and be able to download and install an app from the Play or Apple store. You also need to be within mains socket range and in WiFi coverage. For the mains, a USB plug and cable are provided. The lead is a good length, but it is a standard micro-usb, so if you have a longer lead it will work.I can see what this achieved the Red Dot Award. It is a nicely crafted camera with a well-designed and balanced body. The pan and tilt movements are smooth and quiet with a good range of coverage – almost complete all-round. It was easy to set up, but for one little point – you need to press a reset button for 5 seconds and the button is tiny and hidden behind the circular support bar. You need to gently force the camera forward to reveal the tiny button. You will also see the supplied 32GB micro-SD card.To set up you will need to create an account on the app. Then you let the app find the camera (after button pressed). This will connect phone to camera. You then tell the camera what WiFi network to connect to and pass it the password for your WiFi network. That is pretty much it. The app will let you change settings such as motion detection, resolution, night vision and to pan around. Whilst the camera pans smoothly, the image is a bit jumpy when it moves, but it settles. The image quality os top notch, even on lower settings. I had mine pointing out into the garden and it was clear and bright even with the glass reflecting light back into the lens. The sound quality is just as clear as the image and with an added bonus of it being able to play built in soothing music tracks – for when you use it as a baby monitor – a very nice touch. This cost £10 more than my wired Blink camera and it is a tad bulkier, but for that £10 I get MUCH better sound quality, clearer video, pan and tilt and a sexier looking unit. Good bye Blink, Hello Arenti

My only negative and I might not be doing it right. At home it work perfect because I’m using the wick. But if I amOut in my car or shopping and I want to check it saying poor connection or signal. Not sure I’m doing something wrong. But a great looking camera

I wanted to increase security at my home, so when I saw this on Vine, I thought it would be perfect to setup in our shed to check for any movements and the tilt and pan function ensures that I can cover the full garage. The camera arrived well packaged and with everything you need to mount the camera to the wall or celling. The camera is well design and looks quite good in white colour and is really compact. I have used similar cameras in the past but this looks much better quality than those cameras. It is very easy to set up, plug it in and following the in-app instructions to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network however, similar to lot of smart devices it only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi so you have to be a bit careful while setting it up. Instructions are provided which explain all this and are easy to follow. However, the Wi-Fi range in our shed is really poor so I had to use a Wi-Fi extender to ensure that this camera had a good connection.Picture quality is very good at 2K and Night vision is much better than my previous cameras. Digital zoom is also available but I would prefer to not use that as it degrades the quality a bit. This Wi-Fi camera provides two-way communication function. This means you can speak to anyone who’s in the range of the camera, and they can speak back to you. The camera has the ability to Pan and Tilt which is the key feature as it can allow you to cover the full house without worrying about missing any blind spots. When motion is detected you receive a notification by the app. You can then see video clip of the detected motion. The camera also has a memory card slot for more storage. Also offers storage on the cloud, A month-long trial to the cloud service is provided.ProsNice sleek designHD VideoMuch better night visionEasy to setupNotifications work quite wellConsA bit expensive (around £45 at time of posting the review)SD card is not includedOverall, I am impressed by the quality of this and the well built app to use this camera but its price is too high right now to make it a great recommendation. However I will still give it 4 Stars

QUICK SUMMARY: The phone app is frustrating to use and quick motion past this camera won’t get recorded. Nice still picture for monitoring, but for my use-case, this is a disappointment.BACKGROUND: I selected this camera to monitor the inside of my house at the front door. If someone is going to break into my house, they’ll do that by breaking through the front door (I have hurricane impact glass everywhere else — too hard to break through). So I’m expecting this camera to accurate catch the human motion of people entering and leaving my home. But this camera doesn’t reliably do that.WHAT I LIKE:- Good resolution for an inexpensive camera- Good color, accurate reproduction- Setting up the camera to use the Arenti phone app wasn’t difficult- Comes with free, 3-months of cloud recording service (retaining video clips for up to 3 days)WHAT I DID NOT LIKE:- When setting up the Arenti phone app, I couldn’t paste a complex, strong password into the setup screen. Instead, I had to manually enter the password. What’s up with that? I can’t paste a strong password?- The Arenti app is not good. In particular, when using the app to pan the camera up/down or left/right, the panning is very sluggish and, worse, sometimes continues panning even though I’m not pressing on the directional button on the app. It was maddening to get this camera to point to where I wanted. And sometimes, it just refused to pan down at all.- Human motion detection sometimes won’t get recorded if the person is moving quickly (by that I mean, just walk — not run — past the camera). Sometimes the camera would take a thumbnail picture of the person, but there would be no recorded video for the thumbnail photo (and the thumbnail photo was blurry).CONCLUSION: This camera responds too slowly and has a buggy mobile app. I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

This is a nicely designed and good quality camera. Setup was relatively easy, you simply plug in and wait for the light on the front to flash, then Load up the Arenti app and input your wifi password and select the camera you want to configure. The phone connects to the camera (through wifi) and uploads the configuration file. 30 seconds later the image is displayed on the app. The camera connects through a micro-USB cable (supplied) and plug (standard 3-pin). One point to note in setting it up is that you have to press a ‘reset’ button on the rear of the camera during set-up. This is hidden until you set the camera up, so you have to gently pry the frame forwards to reveal this. There is a slight delay of around 1 or 2 seconds from pressing the button on the phone to rotate the camera, to it moving and the image being updated. This is the same when accessing it remotely, so the delay is not much different to many high-end cameras on fibre networks which have around 1 second of lag. Standard, HD and UHD options are available for the image quality and the difference in each one is significant, with the images becoming very clear. As well built and strong as the outer case is, the camera is not for outdoor placement. It does however work well as well as an indoor camera, and could easily be used as a baby or pet monitor. I have the camera in a window sill where it sits unobtrusively, and can see outdoors. The wide angled lens fits most of my property entrance in, although I do have quite a large driveway so had to sacrifice some of the garden being in the image. The app gives the ability to access the camera live (and watch recorded footage) even when out of the house. For example, I had a parcel coming and the app notified me of movement and recorded the delivery driver placing the item in a safe location. Knowing the camera was watching this location gave me some confidence that the parcel would not be stolen. It also comes with stickers you can place on your property to ensure you comply with laws over CCTV recordings etc. A mount is supplied with screws for attaching to other surfaces, it could be mounted upside down or on its side as the clip is very secure. Overall, the camera is pretty neat, compact, and reacts well to differing light levels. The one thing that lets it down is the app which is not laid out in the best format. The most frustrating thing is that the zoom features are not on the main feed, so you have to go to a separate part of the app to zoom the camera in or out. However, I imagine if you had multiple cameras this may be ok, but for a single camera user this is frustrating to not have all functions on one page. Overall it’s a neat camera, packing plenty of features. The app needs development but the camera functions great.

This camera comes in a box with instructions on how to install and set up, wall mount and power cable. The camera is on a roller call so it can be easily rotated. The camera is quick and easy to set up even if you are not very a technical person. There is a step by step guide in the instruction booklet which all you have to do is connect the cables and the. Download the app. You then need to use your smartphone to scan the QR barcode so it can register the camera with your phone. Once set up it can be controlled from your phone and the camera can be moved around the room.Takes a few minutes to install but it is very simple. I had no problems. The camera also has audio so you can listen as well. This is good for your home for example baby bedroom, pet monitor or just generally around your house if you are not in. You can feel safe with this camera as you can check in at any time. It’s a great product and good quality for the price. It’s good how there is a SD card slot so you can have this to record for motion detection for security purposes and there is connections to connect to your alarm system to trigger when motions are detected.Overall a very good IP camera compared to other products and works really well and the material is very smooth and strong for long lasting and the quality is very good.

I have purchased Arenti before and am continually impressed with the value these people provide. The finish and overall “feel” of the camera are solid, really nice, in my opinion. The included SD card is a nice benefit as well; every $1.00 counts.

Night vision, camera itself is v good. Sound is okay. The only trouble I get which I got no response from the customer service is that the camera randomly starts turning 180 degrees left and up/down without making it do so. At night is super creepy when trying to check on the surroundings, camera just twists and turns at random. In addition, private mode does not work i.e when I am at home I would like the camera to stop recording or at least sending me motion and sound notifications as I move around the room. Super annoying. Wrote to customer service – got no response.

    The Dog’s Honest Truth

For the price: this home camera is amazing. It was very easy to set up. The app is easy to use and requires minimal information to get it up and running. YOu can add additional cameras to the app so if you have these all over your house, you can access them all from the one app. This had NO problem with our 5G system. Many other cameras will only handle a 2.4ghz system but our home network is 5G and this paired instantly with no issues (even though the booklets does state to find a 2.4 network).I was able to take screenshots, video, pan up down and side to side. This is silent as it sits there quietly observing your space. You can set up zones that will instantly record (doors, etc) The camera records audio (if you set it up to) very clearly. I have a 18 minute audio clip from the next room that is exceptionally clear even though I wasn’t in the room. The dogs walking around set off the recording and my rant was captured in the next room :)the low light/darkened room detail is stunning. You don’t need to have full light to get an amazing picture: this shows, very clearly, the entire room.As far as instruction manuals go: they should all be written like this. Straightforward, to the point, easy to use, bullet points. If you just like to ‘wing it’, you can easily do that too.I had no problem checking up on my home while I was away. I was able to speak to the dogs, through the app and they looked to see where my voice was coming from. If you use the speaker, on the app, close to the camera, you will hear a feedback whine. I only did that while I was setting it up.This is an easy to use, easy to set up, easy to understand app and camera. High marks for the team that designed this and put the app together. Nothing but praise for this camera.

I have never seen it simpler yet highly functional camera for baby monitoring then this.It is highly versatile and functionally super rich because we could control its movement using a cell phone. It was very easy to connect this camera to the app.Once I connected the camera to the app I could control the settings of the camera and it’s movement and even set up alarms based on motion detection. It automatically enhances vision in low light and turns on focus flash with very clear night vision. When there is ample light it automatically switches to high definition color video.Even the audio detection is crystal clear so we could easily hear the baby crying automatically in our phone and the baby cries or even when the baby moves the arms and legs.We want to have the flexibility of placing this study and heavy camera on a table top or mount it on a wall. What is mesmerizing about this is its ability to rotate 360° both vertically and horizontally and we could control the moment using the cell phone.Only challenge for me is that it is not rechargeable but I’m happy that it only takes a USB power.
